Improve Resilience, Improve Your Life

Manage stress: Meditation can wipe away the day’s stress, bringing with it inner peace. See how you can easily learn to practice meditation whenever you need it most. By Mayo Clinic Staff

Improve resilience: Being resilient means having the capacity to recover quickly from difficult, stressful situations. Connecting via the breath to an inner calm reclaims your ability to put one foot in front of the other, no matter what happens.

Boost productivity: Breathe–even a single breath with the intention of letting it go will provide solace and put some distance between you and your over-worked adrenal glands.

Feel better, live longer: When you consciously breathe deeply, it stimulates the Parasympathetic nervous system, which serves as a counterbalance to our stress hormones. It calms us and helps us better focus on the moment we are in. This practice leads to a lower heart rate, blood pressure, and lower cortisol levels.
